Terms & Conditions

All orders are shipped Via USPS, unless otherwise requested to ship via UPS. We recommend insurance (note: we use a private insurance company and any claim MUST be submitted within ninety (90) days from shipping date). BlRR cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged during transit. Prices for postage are for regular CD and LP shipments (USPS or UPS ground). Any CD or LP with art packaging could/might/will require a quote for shipping cost. This includes the USA. Certain items on the label can be very heavy or require extra postage due to size and/or weight. Please insure the item! It is cheap and worth it! We highly recommend this as an option. For those outside of the USA, please contact us for custom form questions.

Postage rates: Our shopping cart is set up so that we receive live postage quotes from USPS and UPS. We add on a couple of dollars for handling/supplies esp. since we sell lots of vinyl records and package them extra well for the long journey to your record collection. We are fellow record nerds and we really like it when we order and receive mint records too. In addition, all USA orders include tracking information.

If you received a Shipment Confirmation email advising your order shipped, but you have not received the order and it has been over 2-weeks for a U.S. shipment or more than 30-days for an international shipment, please email us using our current contact email address listed on the site. For U.S. shipments we are able to use Delivery Confirmation which allows tracking of any U.S. shipment or when selected we will add insurance which also allows tracking in the U.S. The postal service does not offer these same tracking options for international shipments. International shipments also have a much higher risk of damage or loss due to the various locations/people handling the package and the tremendous length it must travel before reaching its final destination. Since it is not possible to track most international orders unless sent Express Mail or UPS Air, insurance is the only method which offers any true resolution if the shipment does become damaged or lost. Note: We use a private insurance company and to be valid claims must be filed within set deadlines. The insurance company requires waiting at least thirty-days (30-days) from the order ship date before a claim can be filed and claims must also be submitted no later than ninety-days (90-days) from the shipping date. If a claim is not filed within these required dates, the insurance will no longer be valid and the insurance company will deny the claim.

Any discount offered via BlRR is for any BlRR item and its sub-labels. No discounts offered can be used for non BlRR items, mailorder items or wholesale items or items marked "sale" or "discounted". Sorry, but Blrr Art/Special Editions are excluded from discount offers. No exceptions. Discounts do not apply to postage. Discounts offered only apply to regular edition Beta-lactam Ring Records and its sub labels and not to any special limited editions or distributed items.

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email to confirm that your was placed and the total and any other information for the order. Please keep this email for your records as it contains important data regarding your order. Once your item(s) has shipped another email will be sent to you with shipping information.

Beta-lactam Ring will reserve items for a maximum of ten (10) days for checks, cash or money orders. For credit card and paypal orders, we will hold items only until you finalize your shopping cart order. If one does not complete payment for paypal, the order is cancelled and items are put back into our inventory.

How can I order an item and can I pre-order a release that is forthcoming or soon to be released?

Find the item you wish to order and click the "Add to Cart" icon. You will fill out your information and then place the quantity next to each items you are purchasing. Enter all required information and click the "Check Out" button.

You may also place your order by phone, mail or fax, if you do not have readily available internet access.

If an item is forthcoming or soon to be released, we do take advance orders or reservations once it has been listed on our BlRR catalog page. Once a release is listed as forthcoming/pre order or soon to be issued, please feel free to contact Beta-lactam Ring about pre-ordering or reserving a copy (copies) or visit our shopping cart to place the order. If ordering a forthcoming release and are using a credit card, you understand and authorize us to charge your credit card and then ship the item as soon as it is available.

*If paying by Visa/Mastercard, any fraudulent transactions submitted to us, we will report it to the proper authorities and our Merchant Vendor. Your IP is logged for credit card orders and any information we have will be forwarded to the proper authorities. In addition, any person who commits credit card fraud with us will be banned from ordering with us.

Why should I purchase insurance for my shipment?

BlRR is not responsible for lost packages (this is pretty much a world wide standard policy). We highly recommend that you insure your shipment in the unlikely event a shipment is lost or damaged. If placing an order outside of the USA you must choose an insured method for delivery - no exceptioins will be made. Insurance is inexpensive and well worth the investment. Insurance is NOT a way to track a parcel - again, purchasing insurance does not provide a way to track a parcel. For International parcels, only USPS Express, USPS Priority Insured or UPS International can be used to track a parcel. By submitting your order with Beta-lactam Ring, you agree we are not responsible for uninsured parcels lost or damaged during transit.Note: we use a private insurance company and any claim MUST be submitted within ninety (90) days from shipping date otherwise the insurance is no longer valid.

When will my order ship?

We attempt to maintain a regularly scheduled package pick-up by the postal service at least every other Friday afternoon or depending on the time period we may have postal pick-up scheduled for each Friday afternoon. Available items all generally ship out within five-seven (5-7) business days from order placement when the postal service pick-up occurs weekly. If a regular postal pick-up is scheduled for the following Friday from an order placement without any pre-order items on it, it would then generally take a maximum of 11 days including the weekend (though usually ship times occur faster than this). During a time period with any holiday business closures, shipment times may be extended. If you order an available item and the order is time sensitive (a gift possibly?) please notify us via email and we will do our best to arrange special shipping to meet your deadline. Please note: We are a very small one-two person operation and we try our best to ship orders by the average timelines listed above, but sometimes we do get behind on processing and shipping orders and we appreciate your patience and understanding if this occurs. Being a small operation we also will occasionally have issues that cause us to be away from the office; if it is possible we will add a notice on our website to keep everyone posted regarding the office status and we will do our best to process/ship orders the moment we are able to return to the office.
If you order any item(s) listed as 'Forthcoming/Pre-order', your order will not ship until the pre-order item(s) is ready. If you have an order still pending shipment and you find more items in our catalog you would like to add to the order, we can easily combine the item(s) with your pending order which would help reduce your overall shipping cost. You may also have your items that are currently available sent to you immediately and the 'Forthcoming/Pre-order'' items shipped at a later date, however, you will be charged shipping for both shipments and would need to indicate this option when ordering.

I did not receive my order.

Email, Mail, Phone BlRR. We use Delivery Confirmation/and or insurance within the US and will be able to track shipments. For International orders, your purchase of insurance is highly recommended but only with Priority Mail Insured is it possible to track a shipment or using USPS Express Mail. Note: we use a private insurance company and any claim MUST be submitted within ninety (90) days from the shipping date; otherwise, the insurance is no longer valid. For insured international shipments, the insurance company requires waiting at least 30-days from the order ship date before a claim can be filed.

How can I return an item?

BlRR will exchange items damaged during manufacturing or shipping. We have mp3 samples of most of the items in our catalog. If you received an item that you really decide you do not like, please contact us about exchanging it. You will need to pay for the postage to return it to us plus the postage for the new item you are ordering. Exchange requests must be made within 10 days of receipt of order.

I do not have an email account, how can I receive a release catalog?

You may mail, fax or call in your request to be added to our catalog mailing list.

How do I know via email, when a new release is being issued?

Select the link to our Mailing List. You can submit your request to be added to our email list. You will receive email updates on any new BlRR activity.

How do I receive review copies of BlRR Release for the publication I work for?

For Credit Card Orders:

NOTE: Your IP address has been logged with each credit card transaction. Thank you for your order. If your item is in stock it will be shipped immediately. If your item is a pre-order, we will ship the item to you as soon as it is in stock. We will not keep any credit card information on file and we will delete it automatically once we have an approval or decline code from Visa/Mastercard. Credit Card fraud is a serious matter and crime. Any fraudulent attempts will be reported to the proper authorities and our credit card merchant account vendor.

It is your obligation to provide Beta-lactam Ring with accurate and up-to-date information, and failure to provide us with such information could void any order between you and Beta-lactam Ring. It is your responsible to provide us with a proper shipping and billing address. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as processing your order, responding to customer service inquiries, loss prevention, improving our service, communicating with you. Beta-lactam Ring’s employees have access to your information on a need-to-know basis. Beta-lactam Ring will not sell your information to an independent third party for any reason. Beta-lactam Ring has a very strict privacy policy and respects each individual's privacy.

In addition, Beta-lactam Ring, as part of the credit card processing system must provide limited information to the services that connect it to the companies that perform the banking functions. The credit card associations have strict privacy rules that these companies must adhere to in order to be authorized to receive and process credit card transactions. Beta-lactam Ring will never knowingly provide your information credit card information outside of this system. Once Beta-lactam Ring has an approval or decline for your credit card, we will instantly delete the information containing your credit card information from our system. Beta-lactam Ring will not store any information other than name, address, email address, phone number and item(s) ordering.

Beta-lactam Ring employs the latest and best techniques available for protecting its systems from intrusion by unauthorized individuals, and is constantly upgrading its security as better methods become available. All information is stored behind firewalls and other sophisticated security systems. In addition, our data center utilizes state-of-the-art physical security measures to prevent unauthorized access to the facility. All credit card information is destroyed after use and is NOT stored on any of our servers or computers.

Exchange/Refund or defective items. Exchanges or refunds can be made ten (10) days from receipt. You must obtain an RMA from Beta-lactam Ring before returning any item to us. If an item is defective, please contact us for a replacement. Please contact us first before returning any item. We will ship your order within 48 (forty-eight) hours from credit card authorization if the item is in stock. If the item is a pre-order, we will your item as soon it is available and in stock.
